The Quotosphere: Tasty Quotes to Feed Your Brain

Quote books

Too many crazy interruptions means a short post tonight, but I’ve been wanting to do some posts with awesome quotes anyway, since I’m an enormous quotophile (I’m sure there’s an actual word for it.) I’m frequently collecting favorite quotes in a book.

I strongly believe in the power of words to touch, influence and empower others, and quotes do that in few words. Hope you enjoy these; I’d love for you to share your own favorites!

“Although turning off your lights and not brushing your teeth with the water on are indeed conservational techniques, reducing our individual imprint on the earth will take a more substantial effort.” ~ Sheanna James (Thanks VegNews, July/August 2008, p. 43)

“It’s the action, not the fruit of the action that’s important. You have to do the right thing. It may not be in your power, may not be in your time, that there’ll be any fruit. But that doesn’t mean you stop doing the right thing. You may never know what results from your action. But if you do nothing, there will be no result.” ~ Gandhi

“If you are thinking a year ahead, sow a seed. If you are thinking ten years ahead, plant a tree. If you are thinking 100 years ahead, educate the people.” ~ Chinese proverb

“When injustice becomes law, resistance becomes duty.” ~ Penny Bright

“Beliefs are simply habitual thoughts that we have come to consider truth.” ~ Susyn Reeve
